At a recent presentation a cheque for £318 was handed over to Wimborne in Bloom, a share of the proceeds from the Waitrose Community Matters Scheme, the 'green discs' for the month of July in the Wimborne Store. "Each month sees £1,000 being shared by three local charities and we were delighted to have been nominated by Waitrose to receive a share of the July proceeds, the month in which the Town was judged in both the Regional and National in Bloom Competitions", said Anthony Oliver, as he received the cheque on behalf of Wimborne in Bloom.

The cheque was presented by Steph Roberts, Community Matters Champion, and other Waitrose Partners. On receiving the cheque Anthony thanked all who had supported Wimborne in Bloom and Waitrose for their ongoing support of 'In Bloom'. The support comes in the year in which the Town has already won the Town Title for the second year in succession with a Gold Award in the Regional In Bloom Competition and whilst we await the results of our entry into the Britain in Bloom National Competition.
