2017 Gardens Open

Nearly 600 people enjoyed this year's Open Gardens Day held in aid of Wimborne in Bloom on Sunday 25th June. This year there were three new gardens with a number returning from previous years amongst the total of twenty three open. Teas were on hand at a number of venues, there were also some plant stalls.

Richard Nunn, Chairman of Wimborne in Bloom speaking after the event enthused "what a fantastic day and result! Despite several other events in, and near, Wimborne it was really great to see so many people, both local and some from considerable distances, supporting and enjoying the resplendent gardens on a perfect day weather-wise. Garden owners really appreciated the glowing comments and happily answered visitors questions - a just reward for their time and effort. We also take the opportunity to thank the Olive Branch (Hall & Woodhouse) and Symonds and Sampson for their sponsorship of printing and other costs. To raise £4000 is a very major boost towards the floral displays and their maintenance throughout the Town, a tremendous result in this very special year when Wimborne in Bloom is marking its 25th Anniversary."
