Gardens Open - Sunday 30th June 2019 - Raises over £5,000 for In Bloom funds
The Open Gardens Day in Wimborne held on Sunday 30th June was an excellent example of what is great about Wimborne - so many people really enjoying themselves walking around the 22 gardens opened by their proud owners, readily answering the many questions asked, in superb weather conditions. The support for this event is always good but, this year, it was unbelievable with over 700 people, from places far and wide, travelling around and spending money - every penny of which is used by Wimborne in Bloom to provide the Town’s renowned floral displays. To say 'thank you' almost seems inadequate to recognise the work put in by all involved - especially those who spent so many hours ensuring their gardens were at their best. The efforts of everyone resulted in over £5200 being raised - thank you all so much. Wimborne in Bloom would also like to thank our generous sponsors of printing and other costs - Christopher Batten, Estate Agents and Paul Hanwell & Son, Tree Care Specialist.
